Telecommunication company seeks Mid to Senior level Linux administrators experienced with integrated Linux-UNIX environments.

Requirements:

-Provide on-going administration of Unix/Linux systems. 

-Good experience with core internetworking concepts and technologies: OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS (BIND), SMTP (Sendmail, procmail), HTTP.
 
-Provide technical support for proprietary trading network along with core Linux networking services such as Samba file and print services to support a heterogeneous environment.

-Troubleshooting OS and hardware problems for local and remote servers. 

-Oversee the daily monitoring of system and application performance and tuning, user account management, security patching, printer service availability, creation and execution of system maintenance scripts, system backups and data recovery operations, and ensure that system availability meets service-level agreements.

-Installation and configuration of Veritas Netbackup (additional). 

-Ability to work as a member of a team or independently with minimal or no supervision. The ability to work non-standard work hours is essential and required. 

-RHCE, LPI Certifications is a plus.
