I installed ubuntu and every thing is OK but I have some problems with built in VGA on board ASUS P5GZ-MX I tried to update driver by restricted driver manager and it found nothing Any body have a driver for it

عارف أن ده موضوع مكرر بس المودم speedtouch 330 وحالف مايشتغل على الأوبونتو جربت ال firmware الموجودة موقع أوبنتو وجربت الموجودة على موقع linux.org ومفيش حاجة شغالة وجربت برنامج أسمه usbadslmodemmanager

My headphones don't work

I have mandriva 2007 with a kernel version 2.6.17 on my laptop. The problem is when i plug my headphones the sound still comes out from the speakers

can't find linux drivers for my motherboard

hi , i don't know why an egyptian forum dedicated to open source is in english but that's not the point right now :D well , i'm really new , i haven't even installed kubuntu yet (the linux distro recommended to me by some online friends) but i downloaded the kubuntu iso , and before installing it i searched for drivers .. well i couldn't find any !!

Connecting Mobile Phone as a Modem

I'm trying to connect a mobile phone as a modem to a laptop and it always comes with an error says : "The pppd daemon died unexpectedly! Exit status: 16"

I'm using Fedora core5.

So anyone knows anything about this error??

i'm new to Linux ..totally new i installed Ubuntu 6.10 and everything is working except the Wireless connection the WLAN card is Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network

i read thousands of articles and tutorials about this problem but i couldnt undertand or apply the instructions .. so i need a step by step help

Before buying new scanner

I am pure linux user, don't use windows nor wine (most of the time) Also I don't have Windows installed

Now I want to buy a new scanner, Of course this scanner must be able to work under linux If I asked the seller "Can it work with Linux" he will replay "linux? I don't know but it work with photoshop and mspaint" or if he is smarter he will simply say "I do not know"

So I need your help, which scanner should I buy ? is there any brands that RESPECT linux and provide drivers for it ?
