I have a problem with my D-Link DSL router, every few days it stopped responding, and I feel that's almost hanged, I have to restart the router in order to make it work again.
That didn't happen with me before with my old router Speedtouch 500.
Any ideas ?

your prob is that the router heats up (mainly the processor chip and the ram too) you'll have to remove the cover, and put some fans there.. this is what i do,, it should be working fine in winter anyway ;)

firmwire upgrade
i used those routers some time dlink 500
and i used to upgrade the firmwire to avoid that i think i have the firm wire some where i will send u it as soona s i get it

my router is 500T
i can't find its software there, i can find the 500 rev C and 500 rev D
i'm not sure which one to use :S

aim so sorry for late i didnot found the firm i used i did some google and i found that plz give me feed back
update done
i've made the update, i still didn't test it well i just done it 5 minutes ago.. but what i can see till now is that it's menus stracture became better and it responds a little bit quicker. there are some bugs in the firmware regarding the left panel but it's ok you can ignore it as the same links exists in the main menus... a way to edit the clock time that i really needed, a way to disable the noisy DNS forwarding, it seems nice till now, the connection runs fine too.. i'll tell you my comments after some time of using it

amazing
that new firmware is amazing.. very stable.. since i downloaded it i didn't make a single reboot. it works more than fine and they added lots of useful commands through the telnet. the strange thing that the connection became very fast, i'm supposed to have a 512k dsl shared with 10 users, and when i download with wget i get a download rate of not less than 75k, and i reached 123k in the early morning.. can't understand that

sounds like a crappy router. ask d-link to replace it.
