Dear All I have bad news

I think number of us know that TEData run it servers on RHEL.

Lately they migrated to ..

* Windows Server® 2003—operating system.

* Active Directory® services—identity management.

* Microsoft System Management Server 2003—software distribution, remote assistance, and automated software updates.

* Microsoft Operations Management Server 2005—complete support system.

* Microsoft Office SharePoint® Portal Server 2003—communications and collaboration.

* Windows® Rights Management Services (RMS)—helps control and protect digital information.

I think Eng: Ahmed hussien said many times they saved money by using open source..

what you think about that decision....

it's the business

Unfortunately the business/corporate environment is hard, it's not what's most ethical nor the most technically advanced solution that wins, actually it seems that it NEVER wins, other lame factors (politics, marketing, finance, etc..) have their call in this situation.

You don't know what's really behind this agreement and who paid for it to take place, but I can smell some marketoids behind it, soon we'll all see who's the loser...

Now the question is; shall the people from the FLOSS world apply the dirty market tricks or stay the way they are watching FLOSS gain momentum by itself, which is a fact nowadays.

So long and thanks for all the fish.
