Guys, How about the GUC ? I think it could be a good place to have an installfest in, especially that they actually deal with linux, and give linux courses. I could try to see if it is possible and ask the IT-department there.

Secondly, I noticed there's a better way for suspending the computer, using the 2.6 kernels and the /sys filesystem:

mohammed@mind:~$ cat /sys/power/state standby mem disk

Hence, an:

$ echo mem >/sys/power/state

would suspend to ram etc.

Alright, now finally to my huge problem. I got this movie, seems like a DVD rip... an AVI file along with a .sub and an AC3 ?! Any ideas of how to run that thing ? I have unsuccessfully tried -audio-file and all that, but I get errors saying: Encrypted VOB file! Read DOCS/HTML/en/dvd.html. Any ideas ? Codecs ? Players ?
