As senior member i can have Email alias..

2 days ago i sent an Email to BooDY, D,W asking them to set my alias as i don`t have it since we moved to VPS

i didn't got replay!!..

Till today i caught Boody on #eglug irc channel that what happend..

i have mail alias posix@eglug.org i wish to chnage it to m.ahmed@eglug.org and forward to the.analyzer@gmail.com

msamer could do it but he told me he don`t wanna debate with you

-BooDy- I saw your message and your email, I'll see with the other admin tomorrow because he has control over this part of eglug.org

what is the issue exactly i wish to know what stop you from doing it..?

early befor that conversation Msameer was there and offered help but he couldn't debate with our ADMINS job...

what should i do more than sending e-mail and looking for them at irc channels and what i get is ..

Eglugers would we please define admins control over eglug.org i mean who do what.

I wish to know who's responsibility to give me my alias.. thats as beginning and other things should follow..

According to "Member Class Assignment Policy" any member who reaches a score of 100 points will be automatically promoted to senior member.

Even though I have 112 points now :

  1. I don't have the senior role which you said it's automated process.
  2. I don't have email alias at all .

What's going on here ?!

I think AMS need to know who's responsibility to assign mail alias..

I think if you are that busy you can delegate your tasks to mohammed samer..

or i think he should become an admin again...

BooDy: would you name the admin responsible of that part or eglug.org.....??

BooDy asked me to set your alias. It's been done. It might take a few hours to update (What our hosting provider claims).

Unfortunately, I don't have much time to carry on the administration tasks, I'm not in Egypt and I have private reasons to prevent me from accepting this position. Thanks for your words anyway.

I'm fine though with managing the email aliases and boxes.

I really don't see any problem in that he said that "he saw your mail and he will do the job when he see the other admin but he is busy right now" ,, what is the problem in this ?

If he didn't take any action within 2 days then there will be a problem.

he should replay my email and don`t wait till i talk with him at irc ..

they invented replay in email system...

and i am asking to define each admin responsibility over eglug.org so next time i go for right person..

First of all I would appreciate it if you drop the tone, neither me nor the other admins work for you, not replying to your email the moment you sent it is not a mortal sin my lord.

I responded to you on IRC and told you that I'll look into your problem and it's been less than 24 hours since I responded to you on IRC.

Oh and we're not hosted on a vps (I would expect you to know the infrastructure better since you're so angry with the bad job we're doing as admins)

AMS: You've been assigned the role senior user, congratulations. Email me with the email alias you want please so we can set it up for you.

I didn't said you are working for me, if you feel so then its your problem..

if you are not working for me then i am not begging from you too..

it very simple request its doesn't need admins meeting to discuses it

and yes ,its has been 24h since irc thing but not 24h since my mail..

i didn't look for the mail alias for months its not hat you didn't replay my e-mail.. its that you saw it and you didn't replay although you could replay with same words you said at irc and it wouldn't be a problem..

well , would you tell me please who have control of mail alias at eglug.org to ask him..

infra: we moved from VPS to donated space and i don`t have to know about the "infra" , it enough for me to know we have you among our amdins!!!! to stop worry about our "infra"
