you mean netSucks lol?
I haven't done any _serious_ project on netBeans without getting a zillion exception thrown in my face. And their Swing UI is too slow for a human heart. netBeans out-of-the-box support for J2EE is kinda good cosidering that Eclipse WTP is not ready yet but once you get addicted to Eclipse refactoring capablities (and you don't have to pay any $$$ for the brains behinde IntelliJ), you can't go back!

BTW Netbeans is the same as EClipse and i'll say about NetBeans:

netBeans' refactoring what? y
netBeans' refactoring what? you call these "capabilities"?!! they only added a fraction of what Eclipse had for ages in their latest beta version, netBeans 5!
I like their new GUI builder, but beyond that, it's still netSucks lol
NetBeans !
We have tried many JSP/JAVA editors Eclipse, NetBeans, JBuilder, CodeGuide but finally we used NetBeans for our java projects.
It's a handy IDE contains a lot of enterprise features also it allows pulgin development.
personaly i support it

Eclipse is _the_ modular deve
Eclipse is _the_ modular development platform. It has waaaaaaaaaay much wider plugin community than netBeans'. That was one reason why Zend has choosen to build their next generation IDE on the Eclipse platform rather than continue their current Swing-based Zend Studio.
and btw what plugins/features did you use for J2EE?
This is the main problem with Eclipse
This is the main problem with Eclipse. To build an enterprise working copy of it that contains all the features you want in your J2EE development is a nightmare. Finding a trusted packages without conflicts and to preserve the IDE performance and stability is a major obstacle using Eclipse. (if u built this package please contact me)
NetBeans has built-in support to most of the features i want JSF/JSP/Servlets, EJBs, GUI Swing design, Application Servers Integerations ...
That's the main reasons I'm depending on NetBeabs. Every thing in one box from one vendor. Even modules it searches for its modules and install it automatically from its trusted sources.
Eclipse as a platform is perfect to built an enterprise IDEs over it. But NetBeans is the enterprise IDE ;-)

well, i agree with you but ever tried MyEclipse, Lomboz, NitroX, or just Eclipse with plain WTP installed?
Thanks my Team Leader
Wallahy 3andak 7a2.
BUT EClipse will be fine after you get your plugins and test it, then put it in a shared folder and let all team copy it :D that what my team leader did.
So, if you have a kind team leader you wont have a problem :D "jock"

NitroX for JSP is Freeware, but for Struts, JSF is commercial.
I am not sure if i can share this EClipse version with people or not. IF yes: i'll do for sure. BUT we have more than option:
- It is a matter of time to do, so I can do it and it will be a good idea and anyone can do also.
- Michael: Your colleague Khaled made a project before to do that, i'll Check with him, i saw it before on SF.
- We can ask the Java Community to do that and help them.
