Hi all,

How can i install Hp1010 printer on Linux redhat 9,is redhat9 support the 1010 series printer if yes then please help me and send me screept for this. Second is my hp 1010 printer is attached with acomputer having win2000,how can i share through redhat9.

Redhat 9 !!

On the redhat machine you open terminal and type

su - root
print-tool

you will have to go through the wizard,check this page

the micro$oft shared printer is smb printer you will have to type the share name and the ip

printconf utility = redhat-config-printer-gui ? ( or it's a different wizard means the same pointy-clicky till things work )

they are all synonyms,

printtool = printconf = redhat-config-printer = system-config-printer

CUPS

redhat 9 has CUPS so u can just run cups services then open ur firefox and type in the address bar http://localhost:631 and u'll be in cups.
