Internal Server Error " .htaccess "

My websites are not directly related to physical filename paths. I have to use the RewriteBase directive to specify the correct URL-prefix. SO I have to uncomment the # from drupal .htaccess file before enabling htaccess. I'm using the appropriate RewriteBase syntax:

RewriteBase /drupal

Eventually the server does not allow .htaccess to be enabled this seems like a serious overhead.

Actually it's something bizarre, IMO there's something wrong with the hosting server and it's so weird.

Apparently I'm being forced to use the appropriate hosting without recognizing the internal error. SO I'm keep on searching for a suitable result and I'm trying to figure out how do I access the server error logs to found the recent problem.

I used to be indecisive ... but now I'm not so sure
