we have less than 3 weeks to organize and promote the event. do you think this is enough? can we make this happen?

personally I can't commit myself to work full time on this, i promise to help, to give presentations prepare cds etc but I can't put the my usual effort this time.

what about others?

IMO if we have a big group of volunteers and we move fast this is enough, but it can't be done if we'll rely on 4 people.

i prefer we make after exams as this would give us more time for the organization and planning
i want to commit full time but i can't :( i beleive that this time we can get more visitors from organizations and if we want to promote open source in businesses and organizations we need to have service providers involved and they would need time
i say we schedule for later for a better fest

We have two problems with the early date:

1- We will loose a very big number of audience which is college students who won't be able to attend this as its only a few days away from their final exams

2- We won't have as much volunteers as we had last year. Lots of eglug volunteers are college students as we all know. I'm a college student and I will give my full time for the fest if its on this day or any other day but I'm sure that other guys won't do that

on the other side if we made the fest after the exams we will have a long time to prepare, a large number of volunteers, and we can expect a big audience

BUT we can loose a very important element in promoting for the event which is the ads in colleges and universities. If we start promoting after the exams we won't have anyone in the colleges to read our ads aslan !

so here is what I think we should do:

1- Forget about the 7th of may and let's do it after the exams 2- Once we have a final date after the exams we should start promoting for the fest before doing anything else to make sure that we will get the college students

we were planing to make the Installfest at 1 May ,so it could be an annually event of EGLUG.

Since it will hard to make it at First of May(we will lose many volunteers and many many audience also).and also at 7th of May we may lose a huge number of both volunteers and attendees.I remember last year I could not attend cause I had meeting with the project supervisor.

there is no need to make it at May,let's plan our installfest to be as annually event (with fixed date/term) like Summer InstallFest instead first of May Installfest.this will give us better choices.

According to this feedback seemingly it will be hard if not impossible to have things ready in this short period as well as most of the volunteers seem busy at this time, so I called Sakia and cancelled the reservation for this day.

I think we can't come on May (sanaweya 3ama students :( ) so I prefer we make it in summer holiday

We'll be Finishing on 2nd or 3rd of July .. I dont recall when exactly :-( Guys .. Please Just try to wait untill we are Finished from those Exams
