Wall PapersI asked on #eglug today what is delaying moderators elections (which should be kickstarted by our new admin team) and the resulting discussion was way too bizare
I'll spare you all the transcript but suffice to say that the impression I got is we don't have a functioning admin team even after 9 days have past since election results where announced.
one key problem identified was new members of the team don't have trusted GPG keys something needed in order to share ssh and mysql passwords (but not really needed in order to start elections).
so please admin team start mod election process immedialty.
and please admins post your public key on a keyserver then edit your eglug.org profiles and add your key ID in there, this might not be a perfect way to verify GPG keys but if your drupal account is compromised then the community is doomed anyway.
if you want to be pedantic about it add a new profile field for key fingerprint (not a bad idea in itself), this way the profile will have both the key ID and the key finger print.
and do this ASAP the reason why we had reelction was the old team moved too slowly, I can't believe you guys won't spare us the few minutes it takes to create, post and verify GPG keys. and trade passwords.

good for you, but you happen to be the one who knows the password, I'm talking about gpg keys for new additions to the team.
also when do you guys start elections process, half the team has full access, and the other half has enough access to start the process already. (it's not like you have to have ssh access in order to announce elections).

State of the art EG-LUG
We already agreed that a lull will happen while the new team adjusts. I don't need to make a gpg key to administer the website through drupal, which I was doing. I hate this, this shouldn't be the way we treat each other. Msameer grow up, everytime somebody boos in your face you threaten to leave. alaa is avenging his loss of adminship by criticizing the new team. Concpetor is sleeping. Darkess Wolf is hibernating. Youssef is picking on msameer. I am treating patients trying not to let them die, which doesn't help eglug the least bit. People are refusing to eat chicken but they still live *surprise* chicken go on strike and demand to be treated in public hospitals. Doctors go on strike because treating chicken would make them hungry.
Irony, rediculousness, and lots of stubborness. GROW UP PEOPLE!

One admin is more concerned with blaming other admins "My key is always here, I did all I could" MSameer
Another needs to work very hard to make his key and exchange it or whatever mesh fahem with Sameeer (Sherif Nagy, wolfie)
A third says he won't do his gpg key till he's finished his distro (phaeron)
A fourth who benefitted from an enormous community mistake of reelecting him just disappeared as soon as he got his votes (Conceptor).
