Installfest project thingi...

Hi everyone..

This is an idea that has been in my head since we started organizing the fest. Basically, we have a ton of information and resources on the web site that is related to the previous events. However, these resources are not usually used, due the limited usability of the website and because most people don't even know they exist.

During the preparation, the fest and after it. I realized that we had several problems related to our "noobness"! I am sure you guys have seen this issues and learned from it and avoided it later. However, because we didn't have access to your resources. We had the same problems!

I thought it would be a good idea to create an Installfest resource guide/center or something like that. I am talking about a section that contains for example:

• Advocacy/Publicity plans, resources, ideas, materials, sample letters...
• Artworks, logos, flier, banners...
• Sessions, presentations, content...
• Organization guidelines and directions...
• Do's and dont's...
• Problems faced and proposed fixes...

This is not every thing. It's just an outline of the idea. I don't have the time to write a full proposal/description for the project. But, I am hoping for a collection of resources that can be used as a guide to organizing a successful event for us and maybe other community.

I hope I get your feed back and contribution on how we can get this done.
