Im Abdelrahman, a student in the faculty of engineering Ain shams university and a new member in this site and forum. Im really interested in learning and starting to use linux. I also have enjoyed to linux day that was held in May 2004. therefore i would like to ask u to organize such an event in the faculty of engineering Ain shams university, since i guess that it would attract some audience that is actually ready to learn and is - in a way - cultivated IT-wise.

Ive already asked about the procedures that are to be taken in order to organize anything in the faculty, and what ive reached is as follows:

1. the faculty would show no resistance if the organizers dont as for money or materials or want to put some advertisement stands. 2. in order to execute such an event, we need the aproval of the head of the Computer and Systems department, which (in shaa2 allah) shouldnt be that hard. BUT its required to have a plan or an outline or sth when talking to him in order to give him a overview of what should happen. 3. I have in shaa2 allah the support of an assistant lecturing engineer in the computer and systems department, who is usually of of great support and help and encourages such events.

I hope to hear ur oppinions about this because im very enthusiastic about having this event in the faculty and if there is any "nassiib", ill be determined to help organize this event til the end in shaa2 allah.
