as you all know we're supposed to start the eglug courses on august.

here is what I suggest we do.

we do a 3 days course for beginners, this course will cover

  • FOSS concept
  • Istallation
  • basic desktop usage
  • common applications
  • major components of GNU/Linux
  • some of the charactaristics of GNU/Linux
  • things that are different from Window$
  • configuring your system
  • how to seek help and find documentation

I suggest we do this course at least once a week, if not more.

then we could have 2 day or 4 day courses on more specialized or advanced topics, maybe command line, maybe networking, maybe some programming topic, maybe graphics, maybe indepth opneoffice whatever.

now since anyone can do the beginners course I suggest we do it in pairs.

so lets say it will be on sunday, tuesday and thursdays, either from 11am-2pm or from 5:30pm-8:30pm (big noise begins at 9pm).

who volunteers?

cheers, Alaa
