- mostapha: Show why Linux makes a good peogramming env, I can show Python and Java under Linux. Show people Eclipse/KDevelop/NetBeans/etc. Introduce people to KDE and its apps. Show people FOSS altarnatives for their favorite non-FOSS. Show how to setup and use a LAMP combination.
- Ahmed_Magdy: Linux OS installation, troubleshooting, Network Services configuration (NFS,NIS,SAMBA,Apache,Squid,FTP,SSH,TCPwarppers IPTables firewalls, OpenLDAP,BIND,DHCP,SendMail,PoSTFix,ProcMail,FetchMail), eveything related to networking (GUI RedHat EL4, CLI any Distro).

I think we all remember how happy Cvirus was being locked up in a room labeling CDs. I suggest we reward him this year by making him do the same thing. We can probably do it without light also, so we can save Sawy some money.

an offer you can't refuse
i can supply my desktop to be used in demos or something.. an athlon xp 2500, gigabyte MB, 256RAM, maxtor 80g HD, 128m nVidea fx5200, builtin NIC, 15" old monitor and a cd writer.. if you want burn some cds.. i have ubuntu 5.04 installed on it, it doesn't have much free space though :( if u have something in mind please tell me and i'll try to manage, i think have an extra 4 geg harddrive. am not sure i can help installing, i did install mandrake tens of times, lots of ubuntus for friends, slackware and dsl on vmware.. if your short in installers, i think i can help, but keep it as a last resort.. i noticed you lack drivers, i do have a car, so i can be in help there, just try to tell me exactly how its gonna be.. i live in sayeda zaynab(down town), and work in mohandeseen(elbatl ahmad abdelaziz) so i may be available in these areas.. ok, the problem ba2a is that i have work on saturday, am not sure if i can take the day off(am trying) but i'll defently be available after 17:30 or 18, tell the next morning.. (i tried hard to find the time the feast will end, but it's not mentioned anywhere in the site, just starts at 9, if u didn't decide yet keep in mind poor people who work in saturdays :( ok, please someone reply for what exactly do you may make use of, and wethere the activity contunious after 18 or not, because i have to prepare lots of stuff, the pc, the day-off, and so.. if you don't want any of the stuff, i'll be happy to just be there :)

- It isn't possible to extend it beyond 5 and we are not ignoring you.
- You didn't say this from the beginning.
- GNU/Linux is all about fun, Not anger.

What we need to do now
For each volunteer he should choose one of the five main activities during the event and add his/her name to its respective page.
Accordingly we should have five teams each consisting of five volunteers, each team will be assigned a team leader whose role would simply be the communication head of his team with other team leaders and for coordination.
As for the extra volunteers, they will act as standby to join in needing teams.
Also on Saturday's meeting, we should have a volunteer responsible for each of the following to be handled before the event:
- CD burning and labelling (I suggest it should be with the volunteer handling CD distribution during the fest)
- T-Shirts
- Network arrangement and installation
- Creating and script-writing the main presentation
- Creating topics for round discussions
- Preparing installation guidelines to standardize the installation and avoid unwanted problems
- Printing pamphlets
