but we could send a similar message after a much longer period has passed, ike maybe 6 months.

we send it and inform them that in the past 6 month eglug has improved and changed in this and that way and that we'd love to see them back, and also ask them to tell us why they stopped vsiting eglug (as a form of evaluation ya3ni).

cheers,

Alaa

I don't think this is intrusive enough to be considered spam. It is a good idea.

Speaking of members and e-mailing, what is the status regarding the marketing e-mail? Can we move forward on that?

Automatic way to manage inactive user accounts by reminding them when they've been away for a configurable period of time and cleaning up unused accounts.

i guess clearning up unsed accounts will not be a good idea since there is sure some members watch the site and read only without log in ( when i`m using net cafe i never log in ) so i just come and read without log into my account.so sure there is some user like me and amy be not login for long time but thay here and reading as guests about inactive user module it`s good idea too but we don`t want it to be spam .

One or more of the following actions can be automatically taken for users that have exceeded configurable periods of inactivity:

  1. send an email to the user
  2. send an email to the site administrator
  3. block the account (a warning can first be issued, and notification can be sent to the user and/or site administrator when the action occurs)
  4. delete the account (a warning can first be issued, and notification can be sent to the user and/or site administrator when the action occurs)
  5. optionally prevent deletion of user that have created site content

I used to be indecisive .. but now I'm not so sure

i guess deleting and blocking not a good idea at all but email send to them is a good one but we don`t want it to be spam and we need to set a time for sending ( sure if the idea got approved aslan ) :)
