Peace,

I se konquror to manage my files, and in mandrake (power pack plus) I have to press F9 each time I want to make the directory tree visible. How can I make it permanent?

Press F9, then Settings -> Save View Profile - File Management

u can save ur own profile to

u can save ur own profile to say MyNewProfile and load it at startup of Konqueror. Edit your shortcut to 

kfmclient openProfile MyNewProfile

Cool... I'd use Konq if it wasn't such a memory pig... :)

Actually if you try kde-3.2/3

Actually if you try kde-3.2/3.3 you'd be surprised. the memory usage is surprisingly less than gnome-2.4+/kde-3.1. Also dcop is awesome, but i hope kde will move to using dbus in the future.
