finally had the time to setup drupal on my laptop i just tackled to the basic features and setup i tried PHPNUKE before but drupal is cooler i should be now trying to help with EGLUG challenges wish me luck good luck

good news,

ramez if you know php there is a small nice task you could do (I asked OneOfOne but he ignored me :-(

we need a custom block that displays how many Egyptian GNU/Linux users are registerd in the Linux Counter and the countries rating and all that stuff.

the script should grab http://counter.li.org/reports/short.txt extract the line that has the country code EG

and then parse the data and display it like

  • rank : some figure
  • persons: some figure
  • fri (dunnot what that): some figure
  • Machines: some figure

etc

just use the text in the header field and we'll beautify it later.
