Assalamu Alikum,
I want to use wine to run a Windows program. The program is an arabic one. Once initiated and I get the gui, the arabic title is in those funny and strange characters known to any one who had arabic problems before. My question is how to make it use the arabic fonts which are already installed on my box. I use Fedora with KDE on an AMD Athlon X2 64-bit machine.
I am not sure I could formulate my problem, but I hope I will find some help and I will supply all the info (s)he may need.

Try coping your fonts to
Try coping your fonts to "~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/", or remove any fonts from that directory and wine will use system fonts, not sure (I can't find that wine wiki page where this was mentioned).
However, wine doesn't support neither BiDi nor Arabic shaping, all what you'll get is left to right and seperated letters.
Assalamu
Assalamu Alikum,
Actually it is a dictionary (English and Arabic one) And I used to use it since Fedora Core 2, 3, 4. Then I did not try it with Fedora Core 5, 6. And it does not work with Fedora 7. I will try the suggestions in the second post. I hope I will make it. I will come back to you.

Problem solved!
I could solve the problem. I used winelauncher instead of wine and it worked just fine. I tried wine after but I had the same troubles (though I have linked all the arabic fonts I have to the font dir in the windows dir created by wine) I am happy I could solve this annoying problem.
