but how can i downlaod this firmware-extractor and it in text mood u can try http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/fedora/ and this things USER='username@isp' VPI=vpi-number VCI=vci-number i know the user name and i'm using a connection from link ( masrawy.com) i mean isp = ? vpi = ? vci = ? and linke ( masrawy.com) is it PPPoE oe what ?

i found at the hardware browser: system devise: alcatel telecom speed touch isdn or adsl modem and it's devise info : manufacture : thomson driver: speedtch is that mean it works ? and if it works how i can connect ?

well, i searched and i found that ISP is PPPoA and it's VPI=0 and VCI=35 :) THANX

i did every think here http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/firmware/firmware.html http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/fedora/index.html and i knew that linkdsl uses PPPoA and pppoa, vpi=0 and vci=35. finally i typed On Fedora Core you can do the same thing in a slightly more sophisticated way with the commands Root can disconnect from the web with the command

/sbin/ifdown ppp0 and reconnect with

/sbin/ifup ppp0 and nothing happened

Read page and will know how to install speedtouch driver ITs Binary File so to ues it do #chmod +x firmware-extractor Then ./firmware-extractor $YOUR_FIRMWARE && cp speedtch* /lib/firmware

and if u want to install using yum get Speedtouch Firmware Rpm
