Assalam Alikum,

How may I remove the OpenOffice.org package? I have used su

  1. rpm -qa | grep openoffice

I have found three (3) packages,

and then I used

  1. rpm -e --nodeps openoffice.org-xxx

to remove the three packages. I can't find any OpenOffice.org related files now! Was what I did correct?

M B

Thank you for the answer! It was my fault mot to mention the package I use. It is called "scientificlinux" and it is basically, XXEL but LEGALLY precompiled and distributed. Now, my question again, was what I did right?

Thank you for ur time,

M B

using --nodeps can't be right, and manually resolving dependencies has been out of date since the stone ages, but I've no idea whats the proper tool to use on scientifixlinux
