Day 3 of the great RPM race most of the day wasted on trying to get OpenGroupWare to work
- TeXmacs - scientific wordprocessor, kinda like a more powerful, more complex LyX, with great integration with tools like gnuplot, octave, yacas etc.
- mlview - gtk based xml editor, not bad but nothing beats emacs-psgml mode, conglomerate has a more sane UI, but is way to underfeatured at the moment.
- vigor - what can I say I may even move to vi because of that.
- asp - french eschool package, covering official school cariculum, test, grading etc, very simple but very effective.
- guide - interesting package, provides hyper text guides (for software packages, french school cariculum etc), not sure if its worth the trouble though, one could achieve the same with HTML.
- enclitt - literature encyclopedia, would be cool if all of guttenberg project was ported to this, again not sure how much functionality it adds over a webapp.
- ksociograma - generates and analyses special survews then draws diagrams representing social relations and roles withing groups, apparently useful to teachers who try to understand their students.
- zope - wonderful web application server/framework, and even useable by non programmers (python isn't that hard anyway).
now I'm too bussy playing with zope, and too tired messing with OpenGroupWare, guess I'll stop now.
