Research or Die will be on Thursday 29/07/2004 10:00:00 am

The main goal is making a group of eglug members capable of efficient quick searching

Anyone who has ideas about what to search for, post it here before Wednesday.

Hopefully the firewall group will all be there.

I suggest an idea that was found to be good by many members, and I'm still willing to hear any other ideas if they are good.

: Searching for security Tuts, How-TOs, and Manuals

Security issues are soo many, from tcp-ip fundamentals firewalling types of attacks types of scanning to any security related topic

This table of contents can be a lead though it's much bigger than we could do in one day http://www.hackinglinuxexposed.com/contents/

  1. The goal is composing an English security book of FREE documents to help beginners to advance in their knowledge. The searcher determines the topics to include in his book.
  2. Any search engine is allowed.
  3. Only documents of license giving free distribution permissions should be used.
  4. At the end of the search ,the title "Search-King" will be given to who wins.It will be decided according to:
    1. Shortest timing to form the book.
    2. Latest versions of those documents, besides if any tools' manuals are used ,it should be the tools' latest version.
    3. The number of covered topics in the searcher book, and how good does the book cover each topic.

Guess it's like a competition :), if you are sure you can come, post your name here too before Wednesday.
