I started using kernel 2.6.x three or four weeks ago. I had an error related to keymap permissions on trying to login via console. I will attach the error message for somone to advise me. I need to know more what happens when somone logs in on his machine. Is something executed when someone logs in on his bash login? Are there any docs that describe such thing? Is my error kernel related or what? Please see and advise me.

Im not sure of this error but sometimes the X conflicts with gettys; so try first to go for runlevel 3 and test

I noticed that the error doesn't occur with root since the root has no permission problem. I guess it is a permissions problem with the keymaps. Any idea how to solve such problem?
