assalamo 3alykom, i want to write to ntfs partitions with SUSE 9.3 , i can only read from ntfs , any one knows how ? and mounting with rw parameter didn't work.

Do not try to do that .... i think they disabled writing on ntfs as it may destruct data
i have seen writing to ntfs option during kernel compile ... try to recompile kernel

the writing to ntfs support from kernel isn't full write support , it only supports overwriting exisiting data, doesn't allow deleting or creating data on ntfs drive ...

so i've heard about this software called captive which uses windows ntfs drivers to access ntfs , which probably is safe, but when i installed it gave some errors about something called lufs which is not installed so when i tried to install it it gave me errors about kernel-headers not found ...

so any one tried captive and worked for him can write how he did it step by step ? , or any one knows how to write to ntfs without using software ...

thanks in advance ..
