I am running Linux Red Hat 9X, when I type "java -version" I get back it is running 1.3.1. However I can't find a Java directory anywhere in the system. When I key in evn there is no Java directory in the path statement, does anybody know where Java 1.3.1 is?

Type locate java or (jdk or jre).

I don't know how you have got java installed.
