You mean opening multiple X sessions ??
I tried it, and it was ok.
I can't give performance hints though because I didn't test it thouroughly.

yep I tried that in preperation to getting married, managed to get an Xsession with its own mouse in each screen but failed to make keyboards work.
I stopped bothering since the whole thing involved lots of patching and the wife came with her own computer anyway :-)

well the alternative was patching XFree86 with two different patches since you needed to run two different versions of X.
patching the kernel with some deep hack that moves all terminal management code from the Character Device land to the USB human interface or whatever they call it.
not to mention searching all over Cairo for a USB keyboard that isn't a couple of orders of magnitude more expensive than el mahr (and enduring Uniball promising you to chack the shops in his neighbourhood but never coming around to doing it after delaying the marriage twice :-)
cheers,
Alaa
