what si the speed u used to brun ur ISO image with

i recommend that u not use a speed more than 16x with the CDs

i myself use 12x with CD1 of any dist
and 16x with CD2 and CD3

try to reburn ur iso again with 12x speed and i am sure ISA that u won't face anyproblem like those while installing

and before be sure that the md5sum of the ISOs is correct

alaa
the disapearing menu is due to an incompatibility between rpm and update-menus
a fix was released today for rpm if you update your system you will not face this problem again.

meanwhile you can restore menus by running this commands as root

update-menus

Alaa
