Hello ppl,

I have this weird issue... I'm using an external serial mdoem under linux, and every 10 minutes or so it discoonects !!!


The same modem works fine under win$ - any ideas ???

Maybe change the AT initialization string (although I don't think so...) anyway it's currently the default ATZ

please help...

upgrade ppp maybe that'll help.

i don't think that you should update ppp
in my opinion it's a modem configuration issue
what type is your modem?

I need to know on what basis you did tell that the ppp package was the problem in modem disconnection.
