Salamo 3alaikom,
I have seen and noticed the same thing the next day after Ahmed Farag's death. I have sent a PM to mohamed concerning this thing. I have even sent a PM msg to ^3fret^. I thought that he wasn't dead and it was tashaboh asma2. This thread reminds me of this situation. I bet the situation is like safrout has said. The same thing was mentioned to me by mohamed.
Allah yerhamo.
Salam.

Hello
Well, this is a good lesson for taking care about our privacy guys. At first, I thought about the 'family' theory. But, I resisted it because he is a linux user and most probably he logs in to the internet using his linux user account which is secured by his password. Probably he gave the password but that is unlikely. As he could easily create another account for any other member of the family who wants to logon to the internet.
Then I came with another thought. Most of us `dual boot', so probably the Windows partition is of a 'single user = adminstrator' configuration. That is everyone at home uses the same browser session that he did use. So probably the linux-egypt.org cookie is still in the browser memory. But then it is unlikely for a member of his family to share the same intrest in Linux and visit this website at 2:30am !
But the thought that makes me fear most is, what if he did NOT `Log off' when he was browsing this site on a random Internet Cafe ? Or, any other random computer he used. But the chances of this computer visting this site is minimal. Unless someone is checking the History of the browser.
This will probably remain a riddle.
Personally, I think I will treat "Cookies" after this with more caution. Creating User accounts on your home computer is important. Using any random computer to check ones mail or to visit a forum is something that people should be very cautious about. In situations that are more complicated like kidnap or murder this could be very bad.
Allah yera7aam 3afreet. And I hope this ghost cookie would expire soon. His death was a shock for all of us. And his cookies too!

Assalam Alikum,
The one who was on line is his sister.
Ahmad and his sister have (had) two computers. He used to use his sisters' for logging in to the net and through the network he used to have surfed the net from Linux sometimes.
He told me that once, or at least that was what I understood.
Allah Yer7amoh. Up to now I still can't believe it.

yup that is the true
his computer didn't have except linux on it and no modem so he used the old computer ( his sister's one ) which have windwos on it to share the conection and before that he used the old one to ask questions on how to share the internet conection on the 2 computers u
that 's why his sister have www.linux-egypt.org in the history and as a cookie
