Every Version of IOS outthere is Vulnerable to an easy DoS(crash) as easy as sending a couple of crafted packets , so every one with any cisco device must upgrade to the newest version of IOS or put up an acl to prevent packets to the interface ;)

Amazing how this DoS affected so many networks, I was following the news and alot of ISPs and big companies did not take the time to act seriously and upgrade their IOS till they got the network down.

There is not only DoS attack. they are also vulnerable to bypass the access list and optain access to the Intranet!

and here lies the danger of huge monopolies like cisco (they are not exactly a monopoly but they own most of the market place), with diversity network attacks will be very limited in their effect.

Cisco is a monopoly , my cousin works at Juniper , its a startup for network devices gained popularity in the coule of years , me cousin told me , Cisco will do one of two things , either Buy them or Destroy them , but either way they r better than microZ0ft !

Their routers own , switches not , nortell ones do , have to mention , they (cisco) have lots of innovations .

and about the exploit , you need not wait for me , go read the advisory ,get a packet assembler and do it your self :)
