GNU GPL:
the softwware is free "free as in free speech, not free as in zero price"
you have the reights to sell it, you can sell it to be for 100$
i can also take it and sell it for $10000 or give it with zero price ;)

please don't use the GPL or any other license no matter free or not before you read it, and feel that you fully understand it.

unless you don't really care about your code and its legal status try very very hard to understand what your license means to you and to your users, get a friend lawyer to look at it with you if you can.
