Oh, I'm really impressed
I've spent the last night downloading the binary tarballs, I wanted to test the new ported drivers for my sis5597 "finally ported to 4.x", but i was in doubt that anything'll work
now with 4.3 guess what ? at last i'm using hardware acceleration for my chipset, xvidio extension works
gamma correction works
all the clips that were rendered badly and i was suffering from frame drops due to using the x11 driver are now working like a chram!

I didn't feel this feeling a long time ago when i was able to hear sound from my linux box for the first time!

well I am still praying for support for my ATI 320IGP. There is a preliminary independant alpha driver that will require patching and compiling XFree86, even more I will need to edit some config files. Still this will only give me some 2D acceleration. So there is still some hope in the horizon. I am waiting.

i still have trouble here, some videos have strange lines around the objects there :P
i'll try the unofficial debian packages, if they don't work, I'll consider recompiling :D
why don't you compile with me ?
