Salamo 3alaikom,
I have choosen this title just to attract you. Please read the story on the following web site:

What do you think? Is this a first step from Microsoft's side to take the OSS switch?

PS The link you provided isn't working.
I doubt M$ will want to go open source for the sake of open source. Im sure they have something else in mind. Read the following article, should brighten things up a bit.

Salamo 3alaikom,
I found the original article on www.osnews.com. Take the link that works from there if mine doesn't work.

I think u misjudged the article and gone far from the most forseen future events.
MS is going to open its source code to its MVPs who should sign an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement)
Its a way to let them settle down and get assured of their security (if any exists ;)) but has nothing to do with OSS. It is still far away from this. It may steal some thoughts from OSS but not to go OSS.
So by the frequent mentions to the verb go; where do u want to go today? :)

yet another M$ shared source thingy.
well at least it is obvious where the pressure to do such a thing is oming from.
this is M$'s response to Free/Open Source will it work??
cheers,
Alaa
