View Full Version : intellegant rockets

system_eyes
hello friends,
while the war in iraq , the american were happy of thier intellegant rockets, so have u ever think what is it?

i am gonna explain something i have configured concerning these topic, and i am gonna discuss only the idea of this rocket .

what is the intellegant rocket?
any rocket with redirector system is called an intellegant rocket.
so u are gonna ask what do u mean, and i will explain,
suppose that ordinary rocket with fired from point A to hit point B
, lets say that the air condition for example or any other condition affected the rocket path , that means the rocket will loose its path and will hit point C instead of B. {wrong percent}

and now the intellegant one
in case intellegant rocket, the rocket should be able to determine its position every minute and also it should be able to redirect its path when loosing its original path.

this is the example
so, how can they do this?
well, i am not expert in this as i am still student , but i know the idea,
they do this with something called automation, they attach some communication devieces with the rocket to be able to communicate with thier satalite {now the rocket is able to determine its position}
they attach also chips to the rocket to take control over these devieces , and now the chip need to be programmed,
i guess communication engineers do it.

please tell me ur openion in this tutorial ;)

Salamo 3alaikom,

Nice one. I think it is not related to Linux nor to Programming as far as I can see. Could you tell us why did you put in this section of the forum???

Salam.

First, Thats what they call Automatic Control (Feedback...2nd Year Computer Engineering(Subject=Control) which explains the ways of controlling a rocket like this one)

Second, this should be moved to the general chat !

hi all
despite this is an offtopic post i will explain some techniques used for it
first it uses a system called a GPS (geographical posisioning system) which determine the actual position of the missel by determining it's Geo positioin(ya3ny 7'o6o6 el 6ol w el-3ard) and this is really tracked by communication with satallite
second ,it keeps track of it's own path using apparatus called gyroscope which consist of a rotating heavy disk(with motor) freely suspended and attached to a sensor to determine any small change in it's angles
this is the basic techniques and terminology, if u need more info then go GOOGLE
bye

this forum; the general chat; is for anything related or not related to Linux; so the post is in the correct place.

Here is a link for a similar story linked on slashdot from several months.

Although personally, I am sick of the military, weopanry and all things that kill and destroy. Specially after the Iraq war.

yeah , closed loop feed back positioning system (i.e DC Servo) ...Maher ;)

but system_eyes its not only comm. eng. who works in this

u will find few hundreds of ppl working for these things and they shouldn`t all be eng.

each person got a specific part to do in this

yeah , i agreew with this ,

in ainshams university (engineering college), there would be a new department .
this department is called mechatronics {mechanical electronic},
this department is related to power mechanical engineering, they also study c , ADA, plc, and automation , and a lot of interesting topics.
the only university that holds this department is ainshams uni;)
have a nice day peopl
