View Full Version : Mozilla 1.4 is out, so bye bye old Mozilla

joe_lite
hi all
on june 30th , mozilla.org launched mozilla 1.4 final and as stated b4 this will b the last version that utilise the old mozilla platform architecture and next releases will go toward the firebird paradigm (i hope this is s right decision) of providing several small applications than the monolithic Mozilla platform codebase

So bye bye mozilla and welcome firebird

At nearly the same time Netscape released Netscape 7.1

Here is a hint. Try RSS Reader extension for Firebird. Read this blog post http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/003634.html

Netscape released a few hours before 1.4 final, And they said that it's based on 1.4rc3

Salamo 3alaikom,

For your information, I think that the default compilation of Mozilla 1.4 doesn't include the GTK2 and Xft features so please either search for Mozilla 1.4 that includes those features for proper ttf usage by mozilla or compile mozilla with those features yourself.

Salam.
