I have a laptop that run Gentoo , and I want to completly remove it , then I will install redhat 9 .

so please show me the way , but I am a beginner so I need the details .

Remove gentoo? Why in the world do you wanna do that? But if u insist, just install another distro/OS and make sure you re-format your gentoo partition.

redhat 9 is very old version and didn't support the present linux sotwares, try to install the fedora core 4 the lstest version, for installation simply put the first installation cd and select the new insallation option and format the / and /boot parititons for more details read this link (http://shamsweb.50webs.com) .
