Alsalamo 3alaikom,

I hate to say that those who are called the big guys as you are talking about ya akhi al3aziz are (were) trying to let you get you the proper attitude of learning in Linux and probably in life as a whole. The so called spoon feeding is not present at all in life except in MS way of computing (hope I am not wrong). Those who urged you to search in the forum were only trying to get you know things the right way. Those people could have easily gave you a link similar to the one you found. By the way, with a little search in the forum you would have found an article talking about this issue and you would have found that this question was answered tons of times in this forum. Sorry for bad temper, your post urged my temper

Salam.

you didn't understand my posts, 7a2ak. but why didn't you ask ?
what kind of errorz that can be !!!!
i said that i've discovered the way to read arabic filenames only. I didn't say that i'm going to write the way to install the fonts and configure all the arabic stuff from A to Z

and i said that i've tested it on Mandrake and on Debian it's fine too
i don't have redhat and i don't use it

i've posted a solution for the redhat fonts problem on the mailing list
i hate writing in arabic "we 7oroof el 3arabi mamsoo7a" tab tell me what to do ?

i have did a small search on the site using the keywords " arabic support"

and got 63 dif result

some of them r

Link 1 (http://www.linux-egypt.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=671&highlight=arabic+support)

Link 2 (http://www.linux-egypt.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=380&highlight=arabic+support)

Link 3 (http://www.linux-egypt.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=720&highlight=arabic+support)

Link 4 (http://www.linux-egypt.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=672&highlight=arabic+support)

Link 5 (http://www.linux-egypt.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=668&highlight=arabic+support)

and since to enable arabic support u follow nearly the same steps on anydist u have so it won't be a problem

and as Uniball said after u tried following what is said here on the site and got errors why didn't u ask like any other member

3al 3omom mabrook 3alek el 3arabi

bas 3ala fekra eli link u added here which u says it helped u in enabling arabic is saying what is said in the article written by Uniball but in a fuzzy way

if u read the article carefully u'll notice it is the same thing

make a dir for fonts and copy all fonts from ur windows to linux

the same
