Yes, I am working on a XSCALE board.
it has a IXP420 cpu and it is more or less derived from the intel ixdp425.
the goal is to make something like this :

it is very versatile and very cheap, the whole board costs about $40.
it is also a perfect platform for firewall and IPSec gateway.

of course PIC counts, I meant *ALL* embedded systems.
I am not into hardware design, I dont know anything about that, I am looking for more the bootloader/OS/userspace software stuff.
and maybe we can do cool projects.
once I have more boards, I can connect one to the serial on my box and everyone gets to play. right now i only have development board adn target board.

are the escarabs people egyptians?
