u know i have do it before ;)
i created my LFS but i didn't depend on it & hate it
coz i doesn't have installer & i don't have time to create on.
&also have not time to backup it & to build it again so
i forgot it :p

Dearm maslan, there is a web link about LFS called hints.linuxfromscratch.org. That link has a rpm hint. You can use that hint and get rpm installed if you want it. In that case you will need to learn rpm quite well.

& i have about 4 or 5 GUI for that

wanted to add that all those packages arent "made" by gentoo, the original packages are the "bad" ones, so it has nothing to do with gentoo :-p

Maslan: u can add any package manager to ur lfs if rpm or apt-get or even the one for yellodog linux but i can't remeber its name

and that's all isn't the lfs fault it is ur fault that u don't have time for it

but for people who have time it is the best

use make_uninstall "search freshmeat" instead of make install to generate deb/rpm and install it.
