Port Said, Port Fuad
at An-Nigma cafe looking over the Canal, the Egyptian Shamm En-Nessim (Easter) will be celeberated on the eve of the occasion. it's one of two main popular fistivities in Port Said, the second being Eid En-Nasr (Victory Day) on 23 Spetember, which marks 50 years after the Suez War (the tripartite invasion), this year. simisimyya (the lyre and the genre) is played and bumboati (named after the canal ferry merchants) is danced along with dhamma sufi traditions. as you all may know, no Allenby effigies will be burnt up, it was banned a few years ago.
