Adding blogs

Submitted by kratib@drupal.org on Thu, 16/03/2006 - 12:46.

Greetings,

2 questions:

  • Yesterday I added three blogs maintained by Egyptians. Only one of them was added. Any reason the others were not added?
  • Is it true that the Drupal blog aggregator has problems with dyndns addresses? If so, what kind of problems?

All the best.

There is at least one address in your aggregated list that is a dyndns address, it's just not called dyndns.org. I know because I am hosting it. Anyway, would the fact that I have a UPS system running for my server and that my IP changes infrequently (once every two days or less) help relax your rules? TIA.

then please tell me which one so I can remove it.

and no the UPS does not relax my rules sorry

drupal aggregator has no problem with dyndns addresses, I have a problem with them. I don't like my server to waste time of frequent timeouts because of changing IPs or flacky power conditions.

fool me and get a fixed ip or get yourself some hosting.

if the blogs that don't appear where not dyndns blogs send their urls again.
