another egyptian blogger bites the dust.

it is normal for some bloggers to just stop blogging, what I don't understand is why they decide to give up or delete their blogs, the stuff they wrote and the comments they recieved IMO should remain there forever on the internet.

OrientalismEgypt, a blog that was quite prominant around the constitutional referendum joined the rather long list of lost blogs, all it's content been wiped out. even worse the blog is taken over by a spammer now :-(

this is very frustrating I remember writing long comments there, now my own words are lost too :-(

anyways the aggregator has some excerpts of 20 of his posts this combined with a few traces on google's cache are probably the only record of this blog.

I changed the url in the aggregator so that we won't link to the fucking spammer and grant him the high ranking he craves so much.

Unfortunately the Way Back Machine hadn't the chance to archive most of the blogs. Specially those on Blogger. Google's cache has a life-span of 6 months as I understand, and I hope I'm wrong.

The author's account on Blogger is still active, however.
