I am not interested in

I am not interested in historical discrimination, in fact I'm not interested in the whole discrimination part since the country is so fucked up that it doesn't make sense to talk about many forms of discrimination now.

ya3ni, university deans and what not, they are selected and vetted by security, the only criterea is that they be government lakies who know how to kiss ass and how to snitch on their collegues, why christians want to be represented in this mob is beyond me, in fact it's fucking stupid and annoying, instead on whining about it every single christian university professor should join the 9th of march movement and work on changing things so that univ faculty gets to elect the deans. when that happens and christians end up being underrepresented that's when you start talking about discrimination.

the truth is if you are a member of the ikhwan you will not be dean, if you are a socialist you will not be dean, and even if you become one it will be a sign of your corruption.

parliament is the same, 80% of the parliament is not elected aslan, what is the use of complaining about being underrepresented there, hell if I was a christian I'd do add campaigns that boast of being under represented as a sign of being honest.

not to mention that women are grossly under represented, and that efforts and pressures that end up with 2 token christian ministers just serve to make people angry and feel the christians are taking the side of the government (which they do as a matter of fact).

again stop whining and join some movement for change, be overrepresented in the struggle for democracy, and if the egyptian people are then ungrateful and don't elect christians that's when you speak of discrimination.

as for the government refusing to prosecute effectively those who harm christians, it's beyond that khalas, look at how they handled taba or sharm el sheikh or bani mazar or the salam ferry, the government doesn't prosecute anyone who should be prosecuted anymore. whining about it as if it is specific to christians only harms the cause.

as for how bad it is, ما خفي كان أعظم I know for sure but cannot prove that some christian families in upper egypt wh live among muslim majorities pay protection money to a muslim family in exchange for the muslim family guaranteeing their safety.

but let's focus on the clear cut cases of church burning, violent riots and massacres for now.
