Saudi Sexual Revolution

or almost? well not really that title is just to get your attention, but its still interesting read on

JEDDAH Star Academy 2 winner Hisham Abdul Rahman was arrested on Thursday by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, locally known as Mutawas, for creating what they called indecent gathering in the Kingdom Tower in Riyadh.

welcome star academy winners to the ranks of prosecution.

people keep complaining about how young ones are more interested in star academy than religion and what have you, screw religion I don't give a hoot what happens to religion (if god can't save it why bother) but I sure care about politics, lets get zizi and attia arrested then their fans will surely revolt and we might see some real change in this country, esma3o kalami and it will be January 1977 again.

and besides whats the point of winning star academy if one won't be allowed to party with chicks, the guy is a Saudi there is no way he can get chicks to surround him in any other arab country (he'll probably get lynched) so he had to do it at home.

seriously though, I'm not one of those who complain about star academy, in fact I hate people who do, they are not content with being able to switch off the tv (or not get one aslan) they want to hold the remotes of everyone else and switch the channel.

Damn you are so old we should shoot you like old horses.

What you are saying only implies to old school flamewars. Now we have new strategies.

I give you a rational argument to confuse you and then when you least expect it I start the fight so you won't be prepared for it

huh old people

You know me I had to write something if its religion we are talking about : )

I had to ask my friend to post this for me because I can't reach manalaa.net at the moment : )

First thing I wanna say is that I don't complain about star academy or anything like it from a religious point of view. What I'm complaining about is the huge obsession about it and what is this obsession leading to. For example I know some one who really considered a career change just because the first star was graduated from some other college.

Some of you may know that lots of young kids wasted lots of time and resources on such obsessions and the only winner is the people making this contest.

If a kid stoped studying for his final exams just to go to the airport to say welcome to mohamed atia or whatever his name is then thats a problem

And what did this guy do?? he could dance or sing better??

I would go to the airport to say welcome to Ahmed Zwail or Richard Stallman because these guys made the world a better place but to mohamed atia?? I don't think so. And even then I wouldn't take time I was supposed to dedicate to my work or studies

And by the way alaa I do turn off the TV and I never wasted a moment watching those great heros eating lunch or dancing ho2a dance. But I think I have the right to say what I think about whats happening just like you have the right to insult religion : )

I post flamebait, you go to the trouble of bypassing your proxy censors and thats all you can do?

where are the fights, harsh words the fireworks?

you don't reply to trolls with rational arguments this ruins the whole thing.

but don't you think the saudi angle is hilarious?
