well...been looking for that Album since I was like.....18 years old or something..I saw the movie only once..it's starring Nicholas Cage and Matthew Modine. what a great movie.directed by the great director Alan Parker. Two young men are seriously affected by the Vietnam war. One of them has always been obsessed with birds - but now believes he really is a bird, and has been sent to a mental hospital. Can his friend help him pull through ? if you are gonna get the movie.....please notice the following : * the angle of shooting Birdy in his cage " room in the hospital" always a Different angle. Last Saturday, I accidentally came across a concert for a singer, his name is Enrico Macias, he is French, but I feel he has an Arabic origin. I was very amused by the concert, it was very nice. Today, I found that they repeated the concert again as been requested by people. Honestly, that was my first time to hear of Enrico Macias.. so I searched for some of his songs, and to my surprise, I found that he sings one of my favorite songs. I was introduced to Omar's music a couple of weeks ago by mere chance. Ever since, I just can't get his songs out of my playlists. Farouk is a turkish musician. His music blends mysticism with vision of peace; you can recognize the sufi, romantic, folkoric, modern, jazz, latin or even modern backgrounds inflouncing him. Perhaps that's the real secret of the magic it holds; the cosmic nature of his music. He once described it saying "Music is the shortest way to feel God." Farouk is also well-known as a multi-talented player; he plays nay, def, oud, baglama, kavala, along with other insturments I believe I can go non-stop talking about him & his music. e7m.. e7m.. I feel that my first entry is coming too late. But you could say I was busy, lazy or simply not in the mood to write. Plus, it took me sometime to figure out what is it that I’d be writing here. My story with music is very similar to that of Mizo’s. My father used to buy these oldies CDs, and in some way I was obliged to listen to them. Deep inside myself I used to enjoy listening to them very much. But I always showed that I don’t like that kind of music. At that time, I thought it’s only us who listen to such kind of music.
